Here’s a quick fire round up of the past couple of weeks. Shan’t bore you with the food or wine intake because yet again I haven’t taken any notes or indeed much notice. Enjoying my training at the minute, plus a great new gadget has given me a bit of a lift in the swimming department too…

Was hoping for Whittlebury swim with The Swim Shed but never made it because I fell asleep on the sofa!
Wednesday 27th Feb
Transition: 45mins on the rollers (road bike – didn’t fall off, clipped in too) followed by 15 mins on the treadmill.
Thursday 28th Feb
Key workout – Long Run – 10 miles or 1:30mins. Z1/2
Friday 1st Mar
Swimming drills with my new Tempo trainer. I like this new gadget. Beep…beep…beep…
Saturday 2nd Mar
Rest day. Home work duties with the tiddlers. Long walk with Neenaws.
Sunday 3rd Mar
Key workout – Brilliant long ride loop with Robbo, Jase and Neil – 3:20hrs – 56.1 miles (not so cold) – reasonable average speed too at 16.6 mph. Felt good at the end, even managed to push a bit up Chicheley Hill at mile 47/48. Jase was the clear star though, flattening every lump in his way for the full distance.
Have a good week. Nick
